grad gift guide

If you are still struggling to find the perfect gift for your girl grad - don't worry, I have a 2020 grad approved gift guide all lined up for you! It felt like I searched for WEEKS before I decided on the perfect gift for my cousin who will be graduating high school sometime this summer and heading to the University of Tennessee in the fall! Though I don't love her choice of college (lol) I found the cutest gift for a soon to be college freshman which will be linked below along with other gift ideas:

Starting off with what I ended up actually buying for Scout - two of the CUTEST pairs of earrings that I found by chance on TikTok! A post by StackedBySuzie came across my "for you page" and I just knew these were perfect for Scout.

I ordered the white Mini Enamel Bolts and orange Baby Stars because I thought they'd be super cute mixed or matched for game days at UT! They shipped in no time and were only $10 per pair, what a steal! They have a ton of color options so you're sure to find the perfect college colors for your grad too.

Next up on the guide was suggested by the graduate herself - a water bottle from Simple Modern. Scout was gifted one of these for graduation and she has been using it non-stop and is so excited to take it to UT with her. Pictured is the Summit Water Bottle with Straw Lid in "autumn" which perfectly matches Tennessee's colors! The person who gifted this to her also added a cute T decal to make it a more personalized gift! These bottles are a great gift idea for those heading to campus in the fall since they are cute, customizable with stickers, and will definitely come in handy!

This next idea is actually something I was gifted for my high school graduation in 2017 that I still use to this day! This Vera Bradley Cosmetic Bag is my favorite makeup bag I've ever had! The inside lining stays so nice and clean and the size of the bag of perfect! Not to mention, Vera Bradley bags are so durable and last forever! And I'm absolutely loving this metallic fabric they have in stock right now, too cute!

I came across this Dorm Sweet Dorm sign on Pinterest and fell in love with it! Not only is the sign itself super cute, the Etsy seller also offers the option of adding the names of the roommates for a personalized touch! So if you're looking for a cute gift but also something that you think your graduate would get good use out of, I would totally recommend ordering this! I had such a hard time finding cute decor for my dorm that I would have loved receiving this for myself.

Another gift I received for my high school graduation was an adorable bangle from Alex and Ani with a graduation cap charm and a tag that read "2017." It doesn't look like Alex and Any makes the EXACT bangle anymore but I found a similar version as a Stretch Bracelet which is just as cute! Along with the graduation cap bangle, she got me another bangle which to this day I still wear stacked with another Alex and Ani bracelet I have and my Pandora charm bracelet!

If you are still struggling to come to a final decision or really want to give a gift you KNOW they'll use, settle for a bundle of gift cards to places located in their college town! A few of my suggestions would be places like: Starbucks and Chick-fil-A for a little treat-yo-self, Walmart or Target for groceries and other essentials, or clothing stores they like! These would come in handy for any grad while off to college!
